marvellous work here from the medieval and Renaissance periods, including a
twelfth-century mosaic of the Madonna, a startling flagellation of Christ by Antonio
Veneziano (1388), and a couple of lovely fifteenth-century triptychs, both showing the
Coronation of the Virgin (one with angels blasting on trumpets).
