Near the Giardino Inglese gardens, the Museo Mormino houses a beautifully
presented collection of artefacts and paintings in the sumptuous Banco di Sicilia
building. There’s a wide selection of Italian majolica from the fifteenth to the
eighteenth centuries, and an extensive collection of Greek vases, Etruscan finds, old
maps and ancient coins, while nineteenth-century paintings on show include the
seascapes and tuna-fishing scenes of Antonino Leto.
